   As with most statistical packages, the best way to understand and apply this package is by means of an example. I therefore provide an example analysis which consists of the following parts: (1) a taxonomic rank matrix, and (2) a set of comparative data. This example is based on carnivore size and life history data given in.Gittleman (1986, 1993) and systematic data in Wayne et al. (1989).  The best way to input data into the taxnomic rank textbox and data matrix textbox is to use "copy" and "paste".  You may create your taxnomic rank table and data table in MS Excel.  Then,  copy the taxnomic rank into the first box and the data matrix into the second box.
